The Stags played their first home game since October as they welcomed their old rivals from Wales to Glensburgh last Friday. Grangemouth fielded a squad of youth and experience with youngsters Heron, Mcfarlane and DJ Innes being backed up by the maturity of Forsyth, Sonny Campbell and Pop Innes. Llandybie actually started well but almost immediately lost the ball and Mncube was on hand to swoop on the loose ball and race in from 40 metres for an unconverted score. From the kick off the Stags increased their lead. Forsyth rumbled upfield and then linked with Cuthbertson. The winger fed back inside to Forsyth and Mncube was on hand to score his second try. McInally added the conversion. Grangemouth continued to dominate and doubled their try count before half time with a brace from young Innes. Firstly he sliced through the static Welsh defence and the. The ref took pity on the touring side and ended the game n was on hand to finish off a sweeping move involving forwards and backs. Neither try was converted to leave the half time score 22 - 0

Early in the second period Mncube completed his hat trick as he raced in from 50 metres to score wide out. A few minutes later Cuthbertson was on hand to finish off another fine move from the home side. Wilson added the conversion. The final score came from Heron who collected a pass from a tap penalty for another converted score. The ref took pity on the touring side and ended the game with 15 minutes still to play. Final score 41 - 0

A good win for the Stags as they regained the Albyn jenkins Shield. A special mention for Jim Forsyth who worked hard all week to pump water off the park to allow the game to go ahead.
